So those who have read my stories, I hope you find it alluring. I call it Velvet Macabre because to an extent there is a part of us that loves the macabre. Each month has a new story all together dealing with the paranormal, sci-fi, and depravities of man . I like the different perspectives that exist from unrelated characters. vantage point is an amazing thing. It gives a bigger picture that allows for more exploration of the subject matter. As the quote goes, "what is normal for the spider is chaos to the fly."  I wish to explore the intersection of what it is to be human when faced with the beyond. Thank you for reading.

Post Date 25: Translated Documents of the Arek'U Sanda Phase 1

[These existings  are peculiar in nation. More advanced than other existings that we have met in the quadrant. They call themselves Hoomans. Collectively they are weak. They find subtle differences to begin internal aggression. And they so do love it. Instead of brotherhood they worship war. What a splendid species. They do have pigmentation differences as well as anatomical subtleties that allow them to  exist in different terrain. We have yet to study their genetic diversification, but there is no reason to believe that they are different at that level. They are marvelous creatures capable of grotesque beauty. We are more than happy to teach them our ways. 

They might be primitive in dark travel (interstallar travel) but they have much curiosity as well in what they call philosophy. Quite curious it is just to claim of hoomans believing they know everything about their world and society.  There is a dominant thinking that is pervasive called western ideology. It has much to do with religion as well as teaching from hoomans originating from coordinate 37.9838° N, 23.7275° E (Athens) 

There is one philosopher among their literary texts that caught my being. His name is Sun-Tzu. He taught nothing like the western philosophers. He is fascinated by aggression. Their is a saying from one of his literary texts for our current situation. 

 "Use alliances and strategic control points in the industry to “shape” your opponents and make them conform to your will."

We do not come to aim to uncomfort them, we in fact love their naivety. We have come to guide and save them. They are sitting in the darkness of The all Being. It is our obligation to enlighten these primitive existings.

Post Date Year 2: Pastor Imani

Boy was I wrong to think that our new visitors were demonic omens of the end. Two years later they have done more good for us then harm. I cannot explain what they are. In fact, they challenge every single fiber of my faith, but our lord would not create creatures that meant harm. We are all glorious creatures of God. He would not allow this encounter to happen without his will right? 

They are fascinated by our Gospel. They admire that Jesus our lord sacrificed himself to save us. Their is something a bit awkward. They keep thinking that Jesus sacrificed himself to his God, to gain favor with him.  We had the great pleasure of having one of their envoys visit our congregation. At-Ila was his name. He was so surprised by our faith. he had so much adulation and curiosity toward the Gospel. I pray that we can introduce them to the faith and allow them to find true salvation. There was one thing though.

He was a little defensive when we asked him about his beliefs. He told us that in his culture a person that has not crossed the threshold of Az'May cannot speak on behalf of the Elder Keepers of the Light.  I guess that only their pastors can actually speak of their religion. 

Despite some of the culture shock, I am sure that God is watching both our species in this amazing time. And his will will be done.

I cannot believe these people are excited about their arrival. We know nothing about where they came from and what are their intentions. If there is anything that history has taught us it is that when a far further advanced society meets a far less inferior one, it is the inferior race which perishes. We cannot be as naive to believe that they have come as explorers.

Some of my colleagues have called me paranoid. They just keep thinking about the medical advances that they might be able to teach us. Hmm [chuckle]. Antoine went as far as saying that they will have a non-invasive spinal procedures. How? Not even  the slightest idea.

I do not care if they traveled millions of light years to give us salutations or to give us a cure for cancer. These things cannot be trusted. This will only end in tears.

Post Date Year 1: They arrived

It has been two days since their arrival. They are no longer signs of despair to man. The first time i saw them was on an instagram. They were so genuine when they first landed, they said they were here to help us get through our journey through the galaxy. They noticed our first interplanetary travel on their galactic monitors and were intrigued by our planet which was deemed uninhabitable and with underdeveloped life forms.

we came to know all this when they made a global broadcast. My mother says that they will be our saviors. she says that the angels have stopped listening to our prayers and that now we must listen to the travelers among the stars. It scares me how she has transformed her faith. She isn't a woman of faith anymore. She has a new name for her awe of them, Star believer. It is not just her who has changed. everyone around me has as well. My friend Kissy and her family tore down all the religious decorations in their house. It seems that Christianity is now considered old religion. I heard her mother say the same thing that my mom said. God is not there anymore.

They call themselves the Arek'U Sanda. they said it means the explorers. I cannot wait to meet them. I have so many questions. My mind is racing so fast. I now know that the world is entering a new time. a time of peace. They have come to save us.
